The Infrared Behavior of One-Loop Gluon Amplitudes at Next-to-Next-to-Leading Order
For the case of n-jet production at next-to-next-to-leading order in the QCD coupling, in the infrared divergent corners of phase space where particles are collinear or soft, one must evaluate (n + 1)-parton final-state one-loop amplitudes through O(ǫ2), where ǫ is the dimensional regularization parameter. For the case of gluons, we present to all orders in ǫ the required universal functions wh...
متن کاملThe Infrared Behavior of One-Loop QCD Amplitudes at Next-to-Next-to-Leading Order
We present universal factorization formulas describing the behavior of one-loop QCD amplitudes as external momenta become either soft or collinear. Our results are valid to all orders in the dimensional regularization parameter, ǫ. Terms through O(ǫ2) can contribute in infrared divergent phase space integrals associated with next-to-next-to-leading order jet cross-sections.
متن کاملB-Cell Differentiation: Instructive One Day, Stochastic the Next
Three recent papers provide striking insight into the mechanisms used to regulate B-cell differentiation. They demonstrate that B-cell fate choice can be stochastic, directed, inherited, or some combination of these, depending on the circumstances. The trick is going to be working out which is important when.
متن کاملNext-Generation Museomics Disentangles One of the Largest Primate Radiations
Guenons (tribe Cercopithecini) are one of the most diverse groups of primates. They occupy all of sub-Saharan Africa and show great variation in ecology, behavior, and morphology. This variation led to the description of over 60 species and subspecies. Here, using next-generation DNA sequencing (NGS) in combination with targeted DNA capture, we sequenced 92 mitochondrial genomes from museum-pre...
